Riyadh: Saudi recently concluded the “Zero to Hero” gaming bootcamp organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, where three winning teams were recognized for their outstanding entrepreneurial ideas in the electronic gaming sector.
The event took place at the authority’s support center and was attended by Deputy Governor for Entrepreneurship Saud Al-Sabhan, alongside industry experts and specialists.
This bootcamp highlights the authority’s dedication to advancing Saudi Arabia’s gaming industry by nurturing local talent, fostering innovation, and empowering entrepreneurs to compete both regionally and globally.
Teams Hanka, Nomad, and AlUla received honors for their excellence in game design, development.
The bootcamp attracted wide participation, with attendees showcasing their projects to a panel of experts and investors.
Out of 148 applicants, 10 projects progressed through the program, benefiting from 47 specialized workshops aimed at enhancing their technical and creative skills.
The 12-week initiative was structured into four phases: an introduction to the bootcamp, intensive game development training, prototype creation, and final project presentations.
The bootcamp’s success reflects the Kingdom’s growing focus on supporting creative industries and technology-driven entrepreneurship as part of its broader economic diversification goals.
